Meet Our President and CEO
Mary Kate Andris, Ed.D.
Mary Kate Andris is the President and CEO of the YWCA South Hampton Roads. As President and CEO, Dr. Andris will focus on increasing revenue from philanthropic sources while building the YWCA brand here in Hampton Roads.
Prior to joining the YWCA, Dr. Andris served as the Philanthropy Director of the Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast where she established a robust philanthropy department reinvigorating the planned giving society, evaluating special events and implementing a prospect management system. Since 1997, Dr. Andris has worked in the Development departments of Widener University School of Law, West Chester University of Pennsylvania, Eastern Virginia Medical School and Virginia Wesleyan College. She has extensive experience in major gifts solicitation and cultivation, planned giving, grant writing, annual fund solicitation, event planning, and student phone-athon coordination.
Dr. Andris has served as the President of the Hampton Roads Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She holds a B.A. from Moravian College, a M.Ed. from Widener University, and completed her doctoral dissertation on Women’s Philanthropy at Widener University in May 2011.
