Q: Tell me about the YWCA Out-of-School-Time program. How do I register my child(ren)?
A: The YWCA Out-of-School-Time program currently operates at four schools in the City of Norfolk. Our program operates from 7:00 a.m. until school opens, and from school closing until 6:00 p.m. There is an annual registration fee of $45 per child or $90 per family of three or more. This fee is due at registration, along with a current physical and immunization records. Fees are determined based on a sliding scale according to the family's annual household income. Proof of annual household income is verified by tax records or paystubs. Please speak to a member of our YWCA staff during program hours at your child's school for more information.

A: Our program structure is based on "interest centers" or age-appropriate activities. There are six to eight centers available at a time, and the children are encouraged to explore different centers during the program.
